Pancakes, Rolled Eggs, and Fried Potatoes!

So...today has been awesome! As you can tell from the title, I definitely enjoyed the food today! We started with Livingstone's pancakes, which we are having again tomorrow because they are amazing! Kate loves them and even wanted him to make some for her to eat on the plane because she despised the plane food! We stopped and had rolled eggs on chipatti bread, and then they deep fried Irish potatoes that they had quick boiled. Mmmm!! I will most definitely be adding that to my recipe file!

We went to the Nile River today, which was beautiful! We got some amazing pictures and had so much fun! We then went to the Karama house, where we got to love on those sweet kids. Kate passed out candy and showed them how to bowl using the bowling set the church gave them. We also took dresses for the older girls, some care packages for the workers, and some games for the children (Crazy 8s, UNO, Candyland, and Memory). Our children's church made cards and we passed them out to the kids as well. It was so much fun seeing our kids interact with the kids at the Karama. Memories made. Kate was in her element- hugging on the kids, holding the babies, and just playing with them. We knew she would love it, and she did.

At supper tonight, Martin ate watermelon, which he never does because guess who else wanted it? Big sister!! I hope he'll continue eating those things even with her not around.

We are sitting outside waiting on a friend from Longview to come see us! It's funny to us that we are getting together with him in Uganda, when we haven't seen him in Texas in about 3 years!! We are looking forward to hearing about Ben's ministry that he is doing in Kenya and just catching up!

Thanks again for all you've done! We feel your support and are so grateful for your prayers and encouragement. We are still praying for an early ruling!

We are going to the market tomorrow and then to the zoo in Entebbe before getting on the plane to come back to Texas. Please pray for Brad, Martin, and Kamrynn Rose as they adjust yet again. We are better this time, knowing the next time we are together will be on American soil - and very soon at that! love you all!!

  1. Hi Guys! I had a voice mail from Ben this afternoon reporting that he FINALLY made it! I'm so incredibly thankful that he's there with you and would love nothing more than to join you all! We'll continue praying for God's blessings and the favor of man as your journey draws to a close. We love you all!
