So Pastor Barnard made the most interesting (and maybe best) illustration for adoption...labor pains. As I thought about that more and more I agreed. One we are waiting on children. Two the contractions hurt. There are people all around telling you to do stuff (push, breath...or in other things in the case of an adoption) and all you can think about during those hard times is how bad it hurts, how hard it is, and how much you wished it was over. Third whenever the contractions stop it doesn't hurt anymore, but you are totally exhausted because of all that has happened. So even when you get a chance to relax you feel so whipped mental, emotional, and physcial it is hard. Lasttly (this one curteous of Kasey) whenever it is all over and you have the child(ren) you forget about all the hard stuff and just rejoice!
BTW - The probabtions officer came and stayed only a few minutes. She said everything looked good. Glad that went well!!
